Facial

A facial simply gives your skin a deeper cleansing than what we simply do during a regular bath.

Facials are deep skin treatments that cleanse, rehydrate and rejuvenate the skin, apart from minimizing skin blemishes, acne, dry skin and, of course, wrinkles.

Ugly blackheads and whiteheads are cleared by gently steaming the face.Facials vary depending on your skin type, the kind of treatment you've chosen, the products used and the person's age.

However, it is advisable to start having facials in your late 20's.

Facials involve a cleansing procedure, a massage and steam, and the application of a facemask.

The difference between a normal facial and a clean up is that the skin is massaged for a slightly longer period of time.

It removes the dead, dull outer layer of cells that make up the skin's surface or epidermis along with pollutants.

The massage, which is an important part of a facial, helps blood circulation. The face is steamed during a facial for two main reasons.

Firstly, steam helps the skin absorb cream better.

Secondly, it helps in softening blackheads and whiteheads so that they can be removed easily.

The application of a facemask in the end helps tone and clarifies the skin.

Facemasks are also used to treat dry and acne-ridden skin. And yes, dont forget to apply ice to close the pores which open due to steaming.

Bio Lift Facial

A Bio-ultimate facelift is safe and effective for the following purposes: to improve facial and neck muscle tone, lift jowls and eyebrows, rejuvenate the skin, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce puffiness and even out skin tone, improve facial circulation, skin exfoliation, lymphatic drainage, product penetration, sun damage treatment, and cellulite.

Biolaser face-lift treatments are time effective. They are performed generally within one day, often under a few hours.

Patients are asked to fast for six hours before treatment. Before the laser beam is applied, the face is thoroughly washed. Again, depending on the treatment, the actual operation may last a few minutes to one to two hours.

Biolaser face-lift treatment is a technique that uses a laser to remove the upper layers of the epidermis on the face. is performed by a qualified cosmetic surgery specialist.

This specialist will use a two pronged cotton bud tipped instrument to gently deliver electrical stimulation in the muscles of the face. Approximately twelve Bio-ultimate facelift treatments are recommended to achieve the desired results.

After this series of treatments, a maintenance follow-up program is recommended to sustain the Bio-ultimate facelift benefits.biolaser face-lift treatment is a technique that uses a laser to remove the upper layers of the epidermis on the face.

Typically the laser destroys the surface layers of skin so that the lower dermis or skin is exposed. The strength of the laser is then reduced to allow a heating technique that stimulates the collagen in the skin.

Once the treatment is completed, the stimulated skin creates a softer, less wrinkled layer of epidermis.

AHA Facial

Alpha Hydroxy Acids, or AHAs, also known as fruit acids or vitamin C peels. These alpha hydroxyl peels are best for treatment of superficial wrinkles or age spots of the face, neck, upper chest, arms, etc.

These are known for their anti-aging effects. As naturally occurring chemicals, the AHA based treatments can be included in the category of natural skin care products.

These facials use creams formulated with AHAs, which help the skin look smoother and healthier.

They are also recommended for people who have pigmented skin, and are prone to wrinkling easily.

The creams containing flower extracts are used, which improve action of the capillaries, skin texture and tighten pores - inducing relaxation and calming the mind.

Obtained from sugar cane, Glycolic Acid is the most popular and commonly used form of Alpha Hydroxy Acid based natural skin care available.

AHAs loosen the inter-cellular substances that hold the surface skin cells to each other, therefore allowing the dead skin to peel off. Shedding of the old, sun-damaged surface of the skin helps to encourage new growth of the cells in the skin underneath.

This results in a fresher, healthier look to the skin with even color and texture. With high concentration and long-term use, AHAs may also affect the deeper layers of the skin helping the collagen and elastin to regenerate helping the fine lines of aging to disappear.

These treatments are even useful for uneven pigmentation problems, enlarged facial pores and the superficial acne scars of the face.

With time and sun exposure there is a gradual but slow-down in the rate at which old cells leave the surface of the skin and are replaced by newer cells.

This results in a surface layer of dead skin cells that are responsible for the appearance of aged skin.

AHAs loosen the glue-like substances that hold the surface skin cells to each other, therefore allowing the dead skin to peel off. The skin underneath has a fresher, healthier look with a more even colour and texture.

The technical term for a blackhead is an open come done meaning that the blackhead is open to the skins surface.

Blackheads fall into the category of Acne vulgaris, this category also includes whiteheads & pimples, which is considered a mild moderate case of acne.

They are nothing, but blocked pores that are filled with oil deposits and dead skin cells.

Usually blackheads are the result of oily skin and blocked pores.

When an open pore becomes blocked with dead skin cells and sebum, this material is exposed to air and begins to oxidize.

This causes the material to discolor and turn black, resulting in blackheads.

They tend to be most prevalent on the skin of the face, neck, and chest

Tips For A Perfect Shave

Shaving is one such thing, if not done properly will leave your skin with rashes and cuts. So to avoid this skin damage, I have mentioned here some easy and simple tips which would help you get a perfect shave and also take care of your skin.

The very first and the most important thing to keep in mind is not to shave as soon as you wake up. You may have noticed your puffy and swollen face every morning you wake up. It is because of the body fluids that get collected beneath the skin during night. It will prevent you from getting a clean and smooth shave.

Use a sharp blade for shaving, don't use a dull blade. A dull blade will always result in redness of skin, cuts, soreness of skin and rashes.

Prior to shaving it is always important to exfoliate your skin with a cleansing lotion or a mild scrub. Exfoliation removes the dead cells and also opens the pores resulting in a close and a clean shave.

Always shave in the direction of hair growth. Shaving in the opposite direction leads to redness, rashes, razor burn and a lot of skin damage.

The regrowth of the shaven hair should be shaved properly. They should be softened with warm or hot water before shaving. It gives a close and a clean shave.

Also the shaving cream should be massaged thoroughly on to the regrown hairs to avoid cuts and rashes. A conditioner can also be used for other body parts.

It is always advisable to use aloe-vera and vitamin e oil based shaving cream. Even after shaving massage the area with an aloe-vera and vitamin e oil based body cream, it soothes the skin and also moisturizes it well.

Lemon And Egg Face Mask For Skin Care

Both the ingredients of this face mask are good for oily skin.

Egg tightens the skin pores and so oil balance is maintained.

Lemon is also known to reduce oiliness of the skin and also lightens skin blemishes if any.

To prepare this face mask mix egg white with a few drops of lemon juice.

Apply it all over your face and neck.

Leave it on for about 15 minutes.

To wash off this face mask, boil lemon peels in water and allow it to cool.

Do this sometime prior to applying the face mask so that by the time we have to use, it should be cool.

Wash off your face mask with this water and it acts as an astringent.

This face mask if applied regularly tightens the skin and makes it wrinkle free.

It also makes the skin clear from blemishes or dark spots.

Egg for younger looking skin

Yes..all the beautiful women out there, being a woman I very well know how it feels to look older than your age.

But now you need not worry, in this post I have mentioned a face pack which will make your skin feel 10 times younger, that too, in just 15 minutes.

The packs is made from the ingredients that are easily available in your kitchen.

All you have to do is, put some effort in preparing it, and applying onto your face.

Now let me clear one thing, by saying put some effort I didnt mean that the preparation is very tuff. Its actually very easy.

The most readily available ingredient in our kitchen is egg.

All you have to do is take the egg white and you dont have to add anything in it if your skin is oily or normal.

But if your skin is dry, then better add few drops of honey in egg white and apply all over you face.

Leave it for about 15 mins and then wash it off with tap water.

You will find the pores have really minimized in just one time application.

You dont have to give extra time to apply this mask. What I do is, I get up in the morning and freshen up, and then I apply this mask and I keep going with my household activities.

So you dont need to spare extra time from your busy routine.

And the remaining egg yolk can be used for your hairs. It provides direct protein to your hairs.

Keep it for 20 minutes and then you can wash it off. You will find it adds extra shine to your hairs.

Egg And Honey Face Pack For Skin Care

Before starting with the preparation of the face pack remember for oily skin use egg white and for dry skin use egg yolk.

Beat egg white or egg yolk depending upon your skin type with 1/2 tsp of honey and apply it on your face and neck.

Leave it for 10 mins and then wash it off with cold water.

Egg acts as an astringent and honey as a natural moisturizer.

If you have black/brown spots or blemishes on your face then you can also add a few drops of lemon juice to this pack.

It lightens the blemishes.

If you have a problem of wrinkles then apply simply egg white all over your face and neck.

It has been proved to be very useful in tightening skin.

Milk powder can also be added along with egg and honey for a glowing skin and better skin complexion.

Dark green vegetables and orange fruits also makes the skin glow, so dont forget to include these fruits and vegetables in your diet.

If you feel irritation in your eyes remove the contact lenses at once.

Don't use low quality contact lenses.

Never sleep with your contact lenses on.

Store contact lenses in a hygienic place

Don't share your contact lenses with anyone. It is unhygienic and there is danger of infections.

Tips For Oily And Dry Skin

Normal skin is not a matter of worry. But oily and dry skin needs lot of care and attention. Here I have mentioned some easy to follow tips for a better skin care. First we will go for oily skin and later on with dry skin.

Oily Skin: It is the main cause of clogged pores, blackheads and pimples. To clear up oiliness, follow these habits.

     Cut out dried food.

Drink minimum 8 glasses of water.

Deep cleanse the face in the morning.

Use mild soap, not oil based.

Apply astringent as it closes pores and reduces oiliness. Apply more and more to areas where shine most often appears.

Wash your face atleast 3 to 4 times a day.

Every time you go out and return wash your face.

Dry Skin: It has fine texture and can be very pretty if treated gently and in a right manner.

It needs moisture, so should be moisturized properly.

Be on guard against sun and cold winds.

     Avoid soap.

Cleanse with a cream in the morning and splash cold water.

Apply skin freshner with cotton pads.

Apply moisturizer before applying make up.

Papaya For Skin Problems

Papaya can not only be used for skin whitening, but it also has many other skin care properties. Some of which I will discuss below:

Papaya can be used for skin peeling. Rub the inside of the peel part of papaya on your skin and rinse after 15 mins. It has a light peeling effect on the skin.

Papaya when applied on skin also reduces the age spots and other blemishes.

Papaya also exfoliates the skin by removing dead skin cells and also helps in overcoming skin damage.

Papaya also lightens the sun burns and helps in skin rejuvenation.

Papaya deep cleanses the skin by removing the dirt from within the skin pores. Hence it makes the skin more healthier.

Papaya also helps in reduction of wrinkles by removing the old skin cells.

Papaya also reduces acne if applied regularly.

Rich Cream For Dry Skin

Ingredients:

Milk Cream

Cotton

Nourishing Oil

Lukewarm Water.

Apply milk cream on the face and neck.

Saturate thin layers of cotton with a nourishing oil and draw cotton pads lightly on the face and neck over the layer of milk cream.

Leave it on for 30 minutes.

Thereafter, rinse with lukewarm water.

Milk cream nourishes the dry skin and supplies sufficient oil to the dry skin so that it can maintain its oil balance.

Hair Removal Methods

There are two types of temporary hair removal methods

1) Depilation

2) Epilation

Below I have explained these types in brief.

1) Depilation: This method removes only hair on the skin. The various processes under this type are mentioned below.

Shaving: This is the most common temporary method for men and women. It is also very inexpensive, easy to do, and very temporary because Shaving cuts the hair off at the surface of the skin and not at the follicle. Shaving does not make the hair shaft thicker, darker, or grow faster or slower. should be done after applying some type of moisturizer to the skin to help the razor glide over the skin, not cut or scrape it. the hair will feel bristly and stubbly and often gives a shadowed. grey appearance to the skin in areas of thick growth. Regrowth can happen in as little as a few hours but will definitely be visible within days.

Depilatories: Chemical depilatories are hair removing gels, creams or lotions containing chemicals that dissolve the protein structure of hair. This temporary hair removal method is cheap, fast and causing no pain to the user. They are handy for the areas which are tricky to shave. They provide slower regrowth and a less stubbly effect than shaving but they do involve a bit of hanging about covered in messy cream and although the manufacturers try to disguise the chemical smell, they have not quite succeeded so the creams smell quite strongly.

Friction: It is used for removing excess hair, can be used to buff away hair from the skin's surface using a very fine sandpaper like substance usually in the form of friction mitts. The main drawback in this is its restricted use on large areas with skin that can handle the rough treatment like the legs. The hair on face or on bikini area of women cannot be removed in this way.

2) Epilation: Under this temporary hair removal method, the hair inside the skin is removed by damaging the cells responsible for the growth. Some epilation methods are given below.

Tweezing: Using tweezers to pluck out individual hairs is a great method for dealing with eyebrows and face, for getting rid of a few stray hairs which might crop up anywhere where you don't want them. It is not practical to use on larger areas. Tweezing certain areas such as the chin and even eyebrows were you cannot see well enough to look in a mirror you would need the help of other people.

Sugaring: This body hair removal technique is very similar to the waxing method. It is fast and cheap and can be performed effectively at home. A thick sugary substance similar to caramel is spread on the skin in the direction of hair growth. Then press a strip of cloth or paper on the applied area. Remove the cloth or paper quickly in opposite direction of hair growth. The hairs are removed at the root or follicle. Hair re-growth can take up to six weeks, but may start to appear in about three weeks. As was the case for waxing, the hair may be finer than it was before the treatment and may eventually reduce in amount.

Waxing: This is a relatively inexpensive and arguably the most effective temporary body hair removal technique. In place of sticky paste, hot wax is used. All the difficulties and shortfalls with sugaring exist with waxing also. Additionally, some wax can infect skin. Cold waxes are available usually attached to strips, which are patted onto the skin. Wax that is still left on the skin must be peeled or scratched off. Caution must be used when heating wax so as not to burn the skin.

Threading: This is often used for facial hair removal as it is suitable for delicate skin. This body hair removal technique involves the use of a cotton thread. It is quick, inexpensive, and suitable for small areas of the body. He/she holds one end of a cotton thread in his/her teeth and the other end in his/her left hand. He/she makes a loop in the middle portion of the thread by using his middle and index fingers of his/her right hand. The practitioner to trap and remove the unwanted hair from the skin uses the loop so formed. The procedure can be painful and result in skin reddening or puffiness. Results last 2 to 4 weeks.

Epilators: This body hair removal method uses a mechanical device to pull the hair out of the skin. Epilators are mains or battery operated epilation devices which usually consist of spinning disks which trap hair and pull it out from the roots. They can be quite painful. The hair needs to be at least one quarter of an inch long for the mechanical epilator to function effectively.

Home Made Face Packs

I believe that what makes you look youthful is the quality of your skin. Our skin acts as a musketeer and guards us against the harsh environment we all are living in. But, we no longer have to suffer from extreme climate, dust and pollution that surrounds us. Here are some face packs straight from the kitchen to protect your skin from these elements especially in summer.

For Normal Skin:

Banana works wonders for normal skin.
It  nourishes and moisturizes your skin.
Make a paste of banana with fresh cream.
Apply it all over your face for half an hour and then rinse it with normal water.
It brings a natural glow on your face and also protects your skin.

For Oily Skin:

Apply egg white over your face, leave it for about 20 min and wash it off with normal water.
As oily skin is prone to open pores, the egg white tightens the pores and protects the skin from dust and pollution.

For Dry Skin:

Oatmeal is the best for dry skin.
Prepare a mask by mixing raw oatmeal, egg yolk and honey in equal proportions.
Apply it on the face and leave it for 30 minutes.
Then, wash it off with normal water.
It makes the skin soft, shiny and healthy.

Apply the above mentioned packs as per your skin type and maintain your charming look.
