Hair Wash Technique

Believe it or not, there is a right and wrong way to wash your hair. Washing your hair isn’t rocket science, but the following tips can help you get a cleaner, healthier head of hair. And how you shampoo and condition your hair will make all the difference in its health, shine, and overall condition.

Hair Wash Technique
First try to brush your hair before washing your hair to prevent tangles or reduce twisted hair.

Get your hair completely soaked with water by rinsing it for around half a minute. Wash your hair with warm water. Do not use over heated or hot water.

Get a little bit of shampoo in your hand and apply it on to your scalp after rubbing your hands together. Make sure you apply the shampoo on to the scalp of your head and not on the tips of your hair. Massage with your fingertips, but not too vigorously.

Then you need to rinse all the shampoo away. Completely rinse your hair until water runs out with no bubbles.

With a squirt of conditioner rubbed between your palms, massage the ends of your hair up to the back of your head. Don’t put conditioner directly on your scalp. Leave on as long as directed.

Rinse completely until the water running down the drain has no more suds in it.

Squeeze any additional water out of your hair and blot dry with a towel. Never rub vigorously. Then, wrap it up, turban-style, to absorb more water.

Finally use a wide-tooth comb to detangle.
